Scott J. McCormick
Scott McCormick moved to East Lansing in 2016, and is a registered Sumi-e (oriental watercolor) artist in Japan, China, South Korea and Taiwan since 2000. In early 2019 he began a series of black figure line art in oil titled “Ten Strokes or Under”, and produced over 100 acrylics in both brush and painting knife on stretched canvas.
He has degrees in Mathematics, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, and MBA in Contract Law and Doctoral Research in Artificial Intelligence. He has been painting for 50 years, and has not had any formal training.
